Hebrews: Inspiration for the Journey P1Sample

The NLT translated verse 3 as “for only we who believe can enter His rest.” Again, the author warns that some may fail to experience His rest.
What does rest look like for you? (not sleeping at night, but an experience of a deep, soul kind of rest).
What does rest with Jesus make you think of? Why is this rest to be so desired?
Jesus shows great compassion for the father in Mark chapter 9, who said, “I believe, help my unbelief!” To me, this shows the difference between our saving faith/belief in Jesus, versus the daily offering of belief in following the Lord and His ways.
He desires both from us.
A heart filled with belief in Jesus for salvation and living can lean back into the Father’s arms and rest.

About this Plan

Hebrews is a beautifully written visual aid for us. We live in 'the time in between the times.' Jesus has come once and will come again. But until then, we wait. That waiting often needs inspiration. Hebrews offers that encouragement. Through verbal pictures of a heavenly tabernacle to stories of real lives found in scripture, Hebrews spurs us on. Let's allow these first 6 chapters to inspire us!
