Precious Moments That Count For Eternity

DAY 201 OF 366

Your Reward is Assured

When a farmer sows seed in his field, he sows generously, expecting a great harvest. He consistently works from sunrise to sunset. He passionately takes care of his crops and works relentlessly, hoping for the best. He does not quit until he has reaped the desired harvest.
There are times when we work diligently at the office, in the church and even in our home, hoping for appreciation, a reward or a promotion. But when the outcome does not meet our expectations, we often tend to get discouraged and lose hope, thinking our effort was in vain. We give up on doing good because we think it won’t pay off. The Bible tells us otherwise. It says to keep going, with faith and patience, and in due time, you will receive the reward. ‘Due time’ refers to God’s timing, which is always perfect.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:10 NIV). As we continue to do the good works that God has intended us to do, we can be assured that we will reap what we sow.
One thing is for sure; our labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
Be encouraged today, to live according to the Word of God, not growing weary of doing good. Think the best of others, be the reason that they smile. Resolve to speak a word of encouragement to someone you meet. Be kind to those who offend you. Appreciate those who deserve it. And, through your good works, Christ will be preached and you will be blessed.

Declaration
I know that my labor in the Lord is not in vain. I will never give up or become weary of doing good; because in due time I know I will receive my reward.

About this Plan

Precious Moments That Count For Eternity

It is our prayer that it will reveal to those who don’t know Jesus Christ, that there is a Creator and Maker of this universe, the only loving and powerful God who longs for a personal relationship with every human being. We pray that these daily readings will remind us all of the great hope and abundant joy in knowing Jesus Christ, through whom we have eternal life!
