FOREVER FAITHFUL

WORD

Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation. Psalm 100

THOUGHT

Each spring reminds me of regeneration, the renewal of life, the sense of time’s passage, and the introduction of new beginnings. For me, spring is an annual reminder of the Lord’s continued faithfulness and goodness. Everything exists for God’s glory and divine enjoyment, including the changing of the seasons.

When I see the first glimpses of spring—leaf buds on trees, birds busily building nests, early spring flowers budding—I give thanks for the rhythms that God has put in place. He made the seasons, and they are his. Although seasons shift and the earth changes, his unfailing love and faithfulness continue through each generation.

Let us come before him with gladness and songs of joy, for we are his people, and he is our Good Shepherd. He is forever faithful!

PRAYER

You, Lord, are faithful to all through all generations. From the smallest to greatest of creation, all is yours for your good pleasure. I worship you, Lord, for you have given me life. You are holy, worthy, and forever my Lord and Savior. Amen.

For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
