Intercession Just one person would have made the difference! God sought that person. How many situations are there today, in our world, where the Lord is looking for just one person to stem the tide of sin’s hideous destruction? He is not looking for a perfect person, just one who will stand before Him on behalf of the people who cannot stand for themselves. The devil would make cowards of us all, should we have to stand before the prince of evil all alone. But the invitation to the intercessor is to stand before the throne of all grace and love, with Jesus at the right hand of the Father. There we plead our case as intercessors. The Son of God (the final Advocate for us all) confirms our intercession and the power of God is released to flow to the places where devastation is in process and God’s redemption is now welcomed. And it only takes one. Let us learn to steward our privilege with sensitivity and to respond as He seeks us out to be the one who stands in the gap.
