Faith for New BeginningsSample
Faith for new beginnings gives God room to express His supernatural and creative nature
God is a Creator. He is supernatural, and He yearns to express that. Whatever we do must give Him room to do that which will bring about the awe and wonder of people at what He has done!
Acts 1:8 (NKJV) “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
This Holy Spirit ‘power’ is the Greek word ‘dunamis’ meaning miraculous power, strength, or ability which is beyond the natural. In other words, super-natural! The disciples were supplied with great boldness and confidence, miraculous power, and God’s supernatural grace and favour. The characteristics of Jesus could be seen in them and on them – not because they were well educated, but because they were living a supernatural life.
We were born to be people of the supernatural. We were born to live a life daily that reflects an empowerment that exceeds the natural – beyond natural ability, beyond natural talent, beyond what we have learnt or have been trained in, beyond natural resources, beyond natural health and strength. As believers, let’s live a life that commands men to recognise His reality.
God wants to be God! But our humanity likes to stay in control. We don’t like that scary feeling of not being able to do it ourselves. So, who is in control? Do we really want to live a supernatural life? You cannot give God room to express His supernatural, creative nature from the security of your comfort zone or the limitations of your own humanity. Everyone wants to walk on water… but not many want to get out of the boat!
Let’s have faith for new beginnings. Let’s live a supernatural life which gives evidence of the Holy Spirit’s reality to other people.
About this Plan
Have you ever dared to dream for new beginnings, but wondered when they would happen? Has God said that it is time for change, but you are wondering what it looks like? New beginnings are birthed in hope - a dream born out of hearing God speak to our hearts. And new beginnings always involve an increase of faith.
