Advent in Exile - Christmas Longing With Isaiah

DAY 12 OF 35

Hear this. Listen to me. Draw near to me and hear this. Again in verse 16. DRAW NEAR TO ME AND HEAR THIS!

God wants His people to use the kind of hearing that makes a difference and brings change!

“Hear Me".

God says this intending to make an impact. This is not just a passing message, but one that will bring change in the lives of many! All He declared came to pass. "Oh that you would have listened to me", He says, "you would have profited."

All God's plans will come to pass regardless of any disobedience. He will perform His purpose as He did in Babylon! He uses His servants to complete all He has set in motion for His glory!

The Lord does not call us out to fail or abandon us, but to provide for us. He will use ANY willing heart that has a passion to see His mission accomplished! Hearing His voice and responding to it is the vital part of His calling!

He will use situations that we consider useless or hopeless and things that the enemy meant for evil. But God uses all things (and all situations) for His glory!

His desire is for us to trust Him and to do good for His glory and not our own. He longs for us to live in peace and be joyful. He longs to give us the desires of our hearts. He desires commitment from us, to trust His ways and His plans.

We need to be still and wait for Him. This has been my challenge. Waiting for Him to speak to me. I need to be still and know that beyond any doubt He is with me. How I praise Him and thank Him for the promises I have had to cling to. May we continue on a path of desired righteousness. May the Love of God spill out of us for His glory, for He alone is worthy!

"In Light of this Advent Season, what is your heart longing for?"

About this Plan

Advent in Exile - Christmas Longing With Isaiah

Join us for the next 35 days as we discover the Christmas longing the prophet Isaiah felt as he waited for the Messiah to be born. Prepare your hearts, in expectation, anticipation, and gratitude for the coming of Christ, just as the Israelites who were in exile did years ago! This reading plan celebrates the season of advent and was designed to start the Sunday after Thanksgiving
