You too may feel like you’re in a prison of circumstance…it could be something you did or a situation that you had absolutely no control over.
Your only real impetus for change; to move from where you are, is to take hold of God and allow him to take hold of your heart and your mind. Ultimately, a change in these two areas will translate into better thoughts and emotions.
Yes, you’ll feel weak and wobbly at first, but that’s the awesome thing about God! When we feel our weakest that’s when he comes close to prop us up and give us the strength we need to take another step, breathe another breath and trust him for another day.

Beth Moore in her book, "A Woman's Heart" says, “Only you can decide how your fires will affect you. Will you be sanctified or scarred?”
In the end, what defines us in this life of trouble is not what happens to us, but how we choose to respond.
Apostle Paul acknowledged that he did not have all the answers in his life, but he refused to give up even when faced with the glaring reality of his continued weakness and difficult circumstances.
He wrote from his prison cell…
Philippians 3:12…”I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.”
What was he taking hold of? God’s grace to uplift him, sustain him and comfort him
He knew that his ultimate prize would come only when he went to heaven, still he resolved to continually forget the past and to strain toward what was ahead for the rest of his life.”
