Joy to the WorldSample
Jesus Came to Bring Peace to the World
(It would be beneficial to read the Scriptures before beginning each day.)
Let’s talk about some misconceptions about joy and peace. We can think that joy looks like being loud or looking super happy all the time and that peace looks like lying down for a good nap, or just being calm and unenergetic. But peace and joy are determined by your heart, not what’s going on around you or what you want to look like towards others. Sometimes joy looks like quietly sitting and thinking about how blessed you are, or peace looks like being able to sing loud and have fun with friends even when going through uncertain times.
Today we read about Jesus’ birth in a manger and the angels who appeared to the wise men to deliver this news. A whole multitude of angels shows up talking about peace? Doesn’t seem like the calmest of nights, but when we remember what peace really is, we can be excited about the angel's message.
Here are some questions that relate to today’s message:
How would you describe peace?
Is peace easy in the world? How about within yourself?
What is an example of a time where someone would need peace?
How can we receive peace from Jesus?

About this Plan
Imagine having the best news ever, and only talking about it once a year! We can’t do that when we have a message that can bring joy to the whole world! Let’s take the “Christmas” story, and remember that it is good news for all people at all times of the year.
