Fearless: A Six-Week Journey Sample
Week 5: Fear God
THE WATER OF HIS WORD
Read Joshua 4:19-24.
What great works has the Lord performed before your eyes? What great works has He recorded in His word? Think of three examples from your life and, if you are familiar with Gods word, also think of three great works of God recorded in the Bible.
WALK ON TRUTH
What do you need to do to help you remember the great and mighty works of the Lord? When he met Goliath, David remembered how God had fought for him against the lion and the bear. It is good to record great victories with God and mark them in some sort of way. Write them upon your heart and perhaps record them later in your Bible. Maybe you could frame a photo that reminds you of how God moved powerfully on your behalf in the past. Be very deliberate. Share these at a family dinner or with a friend over lunch. Keep an ongoing record in your heart and mind. Share and recall these events often.
FOCUS THE EYES OF YOUR HEART
Quietly recite todays focus verse to yourself. Hide it in your heart, meditate on it, and make it your prayer throughout the day.
Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
