In today’s scriptures, we read the story of Solomon asking God for wisdom. As he was figuring out how to rule a nation, Solomon felt that wisdom was greater than any other gift or skill he could ask for. His heart is to lead God’s people justly and with the discernment to do what is right in God’s eyes. This is a great story of how, when we are aligned with God, He is happy to give us what we ask for and need.
This story opens our eyes to what we really need, and leads us into wondering how we can best serve God.
When was a time when you had to ask for help?
If you could ask God for anything, what would it be?
What jumped out to you the most through today’s scriptures?
