First Place

DAY 26 OF 28

Jesus did countless things during His time on Earth that were truly amazing. He had a true interest in loving others. I don’t know about you, but it’s hard for me not to wonder if He ever took a “me day.” You know, taking a day to do something that HE wanted to do. Did he ever say to someone who needed healing, “Hey, I would heal you, but I have to catch the football game?” He could have possibly said, “I know you all are hungry, but there is an Xbox sale down the street that I need to check out.” Although Jesus took rest days during His life, He took an interest in loving people. Loving people was His main priority.

You see, Jesus does not expect us to perform miracles like healing the blind or feeding a crowd of people. What He asks us to do is go above and beyond when attempting to show love to others. To show love to others, we must show a true interest in the needs and wants of the people around us. This can be difficult, especially when others do not show any interest in our wants, needs, and feelings, but we need to remember that, while on Earth, Jesus made a clear interest in loving people. That can inspire us to do the same!

So today, look for one way you can show love to someone around you like Jesus did, whether you know them or not. Then, do that thing, remembering how Jesus loved and looked out for others too!
