Focus

DAY 7 OF 20

You've probably heard the saying, "You make time for the things you love." It's so true! We will make time for the friends, sports, or hobbies we value. What happens when we have a hard time gauging what's important? Maybe we could all take some time away from things like social media, TV, or trying to look a certain way and move that time and energy to love others and learn God's words.

Today's Bible verses tell us not to love the things of this world. Sometimes, we value things and believe they're more important than spending time with God. This doesn't mean we can't spend time with friends, on our hobbies, or focus on school, but it does mean asking ourselves where we spend our time. How could we be more aware of the time we spend on ourselves compared to the time where we care and love others? We should be asking ourselves what God wants us to prioritize and be willing to listen for a response.

Are the things you spend most of your time on growing your faith?

About this Plan

Focus

It’s not easy to stay focused. Especially these days, when we’re connected to a never-ending stream of new notifications, ads, messages, videos, and posts. Have you ever struggled to stay focused when spending time with God? In this 20-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we’ll get honest about how difficult it can be to stay focused when praying, reading the Bible, or growing in our faith.
