Day Two: Find Your People

Part of growing up means growing in your faith… and growing in your faith can be a struggle sometimes. Nobody gets it right every single day, and everybody faces doubts. That’s why it’s so important to surround yourself with a good community!

1 Thessalonians 5:11 (MSG) says, “So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you’ll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind. I know you are already doing this; just keep on doing this.”

Having the right group of friends can make all the difference in your walk with God. These are people who will encourage you, pray for you, and sit next to you on the good days and the bad. These are the friends who will remind you God is always working even when you can’t see it. And on days when those same friends feel discouraged, you can be that voice for them!

This is why Elevation YTH believes in the power of eGroups! We want you to find your people who help you stay connected to God in the ups and downs of life!

Challenge: Memorize the last part of 1 Timothy 4:12. Write it down somewhere you’ll see it (like your new locker, maybe?) and memorize it for the rest of the month!
