Stay Connected to Other People - Proverbs 18
We are not meant to do life alone. God told us this all the way back in Genesis 2:18. We were created to live within a framework of relationships. This is why God created the family and the family of God.
We don’t get to choose our family, and no family is perfect, but we should do our best to be thankful for the family we have and make sure we are doing our part to make it good. As Christians, we are also part of the family of God, the church. The family of God isn’t perfect either, but it can be a really powerful place for you if you stay connected. The Bible says our lives will be blessed when we’re planted in God’s House (Psalm 92:12-15). Your life is like a seed; when it is planted in the soil of the local church, growth and fruitfulness happen. Sometimes it’s difficult to stay committed to church (Hebrews 10:25), but it will be worth it to us if we remain intentional about staying connected.
“Father, thank you for the family of God and my church. Help me to do my part to make my church a great place. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
