BECOMING A MAGNETIC PERSON

“Jesus Christ is the great attractive magnet, and all must begin and end with him… May the Lord make us all magnets for himself.” (Charles Spurgeon)

Before we can point anyone to Jesus, we have to know that Jesus scratches our every itch. We’ve got to be sticking to THE magnet for us to become magnetic. How do we do this?

Dr. Strange gives us 3 ways we stick to Jesus and Jesus sticks to us:

1-Loving Jesus- He is the way, the truth, the life. He is the light of the world, the Good Shepherd.

2-Loving our identity in Jesus- Who am I? A child of God! Created for purpose. Loved beyond measure.

3-Loving the body of Christ, the Church- Though filled with broken people, the church is God’s #1 plan for magnetizing His people to “go into all the world” and make disciples of all nations.

When we allow ourselves to be fully magnetized by Jesus, we will truly be able to love people as Christ has loved us. And love is a magnet that draws people away from something that appears to save to Someone that has promised He will save.

Ask Yourself:

-How will I love Jesus well with my life?

-How will I live in my identity as a child of God?

-How will I love the Church well?

Take a Next Step: You have multiple spheres of influence- family, friends, classmates, coworkers, neighbors, etc.

First, pray for them!

Second, listen for the connection points in everyday conversations.

Third, pray for wisdom and boldness to share Jesus using those conversation starters you brainstormed for each point.

Pause to Pray: Thank you, Jesus, that you satisfy our needs and desires! Every answer we’re seeking is found in You. You are the hope, the future, and the meaning we’re all looking for. May the journey of my life lead me to deeper connection with you, your ways, your truth, and your love. I want my life to be magnetic, drawing people toward You. Amen!
