Remove the Negative Labels

You may have had negative things spoken over you, even by people who should have been encouraging you. I love what Isaiah says: “No weapon formed against you will ever prosper, but every tongue raised in judgment”—that means every negative label— “you will show to be in the wrong.” Notice, God is not going to do it. You have to show it to be in the wrong. In other words, you have to remove the negative label. Nothing that was spoken over you has to define you, even if it was from people who raised you or grew up in the same home with you. Nothing that’s happened in your past has to keep you from your destiny. Even if you’ve made mistakes or gone through unfair situations, you can show the negative things to be in the wrong by shaking off the self-pity and moving forward with your life.

Will you dare to remove the negative labels? You are not the negative things that people say you are. You are who God says you are. Remove the old labels.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that nothing anyone says about me can change what You have said about me. Thank You that I can refute whatever negative words people have said to me or about me and show it all to be wrong. I receive the labels of truth You have given me to put on. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
