JESUS: the Word of God and reality of Heaven
Jesus is the reality of our new lives as children of God, and He is the reality of Heaven that came to the earth to redeem us - formerly lost sons and daughters.
He was there in the beginning with the Father and the Holy Spirit; He is the Word (reality) of God that became flesh and dwelt among us.
Jesus has reconciled us back with our Father and has presented us before our Heavenly Father as perfect and innocent once again. He is also our advocate who stands in the gap and declares us as righteous and in perfect standing with God.
Our relationship with Jesus is a brotherhood where He sacrificed His life to restore our sonship. He leads the way and reflects what true union with God looks like. He calls us His friends. He is the author and finisher of our faith. He is our example and invites us to follow Him!
His life is the lens of how we are to live out our new lives. We are new creations and citizens of Heaven! We are called to bear His image and live from His perspective.
