The temple of Jerusalem was the center of all of Israel. This was the place you came to meet with God. You would do this through offerings and celebrating the big festivals.
Solomon’s prayer and blessing of the temple makes one thing clear: All the nations will se and flock to the temple to see God’s glory. This is how the work of mission is presented in the Old Testament: The nations will flock to the temple.
