How to Friend

DAY 16 OF 21

We’ve all been hurt by others, and we’ve all hurt someone else. Think of friendship as the piggy bank you had when you were a kid. It taught you patience and that sometimes it can take months to afford that toy you wanted by saving pennies. Our friends need that kind of commitment from us when it comes to love. Much like your piggy bank, you spend time depositing trust and love with your friends for months, and you grow closer because of it. When we show love to our friends, over time, we build up the trust we need to keep a friendship strong even through failures and imperfections. Today’s challenge is to intentionally show kindness to someone who might have failed you recently and rebuild the relationship with love.
