The Life of JesusSample
Do you need a miracle to believe?
What will it take for you to believe in Jesus? What kind of miracle would you need? Once I watched a program in which they asked people what would need to happen for them to believe in Jesus. One person said, “If this lamppost falls down!” The lamppost fell down, but he still wouldn’t believe. In fact, he did not want to believe.
In the short video clip below, Jesus performs His biggest miracle yet of His earthly ministry. He keeps pushing the boundaries of our faith. This story reveals in detail how Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. Jesus waited four days. Four days! The body was already decomposing.
Please take a couple of minutes to watch this powerful video clip from The Life of Jesus below.
Lazarus was alive again! This report reached the leaders of Israel. And they were not happy. They didn’t argue the facts. But they did fear the results of this miracle. Everyone was talking about it! The leaders refused to see the miracle as an act of God. They neglected the foretold message that the Messiah would come. They wanted to stop Jesus because He was creating chaos in their world.
The most important leader, the high priest Caiaphas, spoke a prophecy: “‘Don’t you realize that it is better for you to have one man die for the people, instead of having the whole nation destroyed?’” (John 11:50, GNT) Without knowing it, his prophecy showed the real purpose of Jesus coming to Earth: to rescue us all. Friend, do you believe that this was Jesus’ real purpose?
Bible reference: John 11:38-57
Don’t forget: You are a miracle!
