DAY 9 OF 11

Serve The Lord With What You Have

Then another came, saying, ‘Lord, here is your mina, which I kept laid away in a handkerchief; for I was afraid of you, because you are a severe man. You take what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.’.….. I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.
Luke 19:20-21, 26 (ESV)

This servant thought the master was a severe man; thus, he gave one mina he received back to the master. He did not understand the master’s heart, which prevented him from receiving any reward from the master. He could have put the money in the bank to gain interest, but he didn’t. If we are willing to be used for God’s work, God will bless us more abundantly, but if we are not willing to be used for God’s work, we will become useless vessels that cannot bring forth any blessings.

Do not be like this wicked servant. Let us use whatever gift God has entrusted to us. It doesn’t matter what we have, but whether we are willing to be used by the Lord! The more God uses us, the more God’s blessings will pour down on us.

Prayer

Lord, help us use the gifts and talents that You have entrusted us. Give us a willing heart so that we will be used by You in our daily life, and pour down Your blessing as we serve You. Thank You for Your generosity and protection in our lives, I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen!
