A Glimpse of Our Father's Plans

My daughter's favorite color is pink. She loves pink clothes, toys, decorations, you name it, pink everything! She went through a phase where she ONLY wanted to wear pink shirts. Of course, her wardrobe consists of various colors and is not simply limited to pink. Nevertheless, when I tried to dress her in any other color, she would pitch a fit. Like my daughter, we often limit ourselves by only seeing things through narrow lenses when God has far greater things prepared for us.

I clearly remember one morning that I was dressing her for school. She was still asleep as I put her clothes on. This particular day, I was putting a yellow shirt on her. As she opened her eyes, she started crying and trying to remove the shirt, stating, "I want to wear my pink shirt." As I kept trying to put the shirt over her head, she kept trying to pull the shirt off her head.

We do the same thing to our Heavenly Father. Whether we remain in deadbeat relationships out of comfort and familiarity or stay at a job that leads us on the fast track to a heart attack or stroke, we stay there due to thinking and believing that there are no better options. We keep trying to take that yellow shirt off because we only want the pink shirt.

God has more in store, my friend! Blue might be your color or even a little green. The first portion of Isaiah 43:19 reminds us that God wants to do new things in our lives. Also, Isaiah 55:8-9 highlights that God's thoughts and ways are higher than ours.

1 Corinthians 2:9 also states, "But it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him."

There is so much more our Heavenly Father has in store for you so that you can take the LIMITS OFF! Choose to embrace ALL our Father has for you, and don't be hindered by your comfort zone or tiny box.
