7 Impactful RemindersSample

Practice Self-Care...
Many of us are so busy taking care of others—our employees, organizations, families and friends. The problem with that statement, is that it's missing, " Us taking care of ourselves". Often, we get caught up into making things happen for others and we put ourselves on the back burner.
Did you know that this actually does you and those looking up to you a disservice? You may be minimizing your potential because you are not rested. You may be teaching your children to not value themselves enough to take care of themselves. Last, but most definitely not least, we tend to forget that our bodies are temples of the Lord and His spirit lives in us (1st Corinthians 3:16). Self-care goes deeper than just physical and should be incorporated into our lives. In the Bible there were times when Jesus would withdraw from people to be alone and pray (Luke 5:16). What a great example He regularly displayed!
Prayer
Lord, we thank you for the opportunity to practice self-care so that we can portray to you that we do appreciate the body and gifts that you have given us. Help us to be consistent in this area and to normalize it as well. In Jesus' name. Amen.
