What I Really WantSample
God calls us to love others, but so many times we miss the opportunity. We can get so caught up focusing on the challenging, tough-to-love people.
For me loving my siblings can be difficult. I so often slip up and come to a point of frustration and as a result I lash out at them. But that’s not what God calls us to do. God calls us to love the people around us.
The beautiful thing about God calling us to love others is that God calls us to love not out of worldly love that aims to benefit us or for some feeling. But he calls us to love from a place of God’s love. God is love. God sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins.
We can follow Jesus’s example of love. Jesus chose to serve others rather than serve the interest of himself. God’s love is beautiful, it’s powerful and the amazing thing is that we don’t have to work to for it. We don’t have to go on a magical quest to find it. God wants to freely give love to us. When we choose life with God, God reveals his love to us and that allows us to love others. I challenge you, when you get into those situations that the last thing you want to do is love, choose to remember the love that Christ gave you, and use His love to love the people around you.
