What I Really WantSample
About a year ago I got my driver’s license! I had been looking forward to this day for the longest time and was thrilled to be able to drive around. I was so excited that on my second day as a driver I went and did exactly what my parents told me not to do. Of course, they ended up finding out and I got the car taken away for a couple of weeks. After that I started to follow my parents’ guidelines diligently. They noticed my obedience and rewarded me with more freedom.
I know we hear about this all the time, but I think it’s important to spend time thinking about how we have the possibility and the opportunity to shape our lives with our choices. When we make a choice, we receive the “harvest” of that choice – whether positive or negative.
We all only have 24 hours in a day, it’s up to us on how to spend them. For my days, I find it important to make time to invest (or plant) in my faith because later in the day that investment will provide me with a harvest of strength to draw from. I also invest in spending time with my good friends because they help me gain the benefit of making wise choices.
We all have the potential to do great things, let’s choose the path that will lead us there!
