The approval trap is a massive issue in our world. When we live to always get approval from others, it will trip us up and often harm our lives. Instead, like the Apostle Paul is saying, we want to learn to live for the approval of God, not people. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t care about what others say, but it’s the foundational principle that we’re here to please God before people. Often you can do both, but if you have to choose, always choose the way that pleases God.
