DAY 6 OF 7

Day #6 Time in the couple

When people get married, they become one flesh. But that's not all, our agendas merge as well. I'm not talking about our planning, as a couple, but rather about the time we have to accomplish God's plan for us as a couple.

We have an individual mission but we also have a common mission to accomplish.

Gentlemen, your wife's mission is not only to allow you to accomplish yours, it is also your role to allow her to accomplish hers and to ensure that you accomplish your destiny as a couple together.

With the arrival of the children, the woman will increase her involvement in the family. Quickly, we run out of time. As a husband, I had to understand my role as administrator of family time.

If I am not involved enough in the family then my wife will not have time to do what God asks of her, because of me. So I have to give up doing good or legitimate things so that she can have time. Since I cannot be rewarded for what God does not expect me to do, I must be careful not to waste my wife's time, which would deprive her of her rewards. In addition, God holds me responsible for my wife's development as the spiritual leader of the household.

The apostle Paul had no wife or children. He himself will say that the married man should not only take care of his spouse but also try to please her, which is much more demanding than the "union minimum".

Although parents need to be involved in the home, the mother has an important role depending on the age of the children. Don't give in to the temptation to run away from home to try to shine in society before the time comes. Shine for your children! You are irreplaceable to them. Rest assured, they will grow up soon enough and you will not regret what you have invested in their lives. Few women at the end of their lives regret having taken care of their children or not having spent enough time at work. I invite you to read the plan entitled "A Whole Family" in which I talk about the importance of children.

About this Plan

168, No more, no less

168 is the number of hours that each human being has for a week. No more, no less. The Psalmist cried out, "Lord, teach us to count our days well!" In our fast-paced society, counting our HOURS has become vital. I invite you to reflect over the next few days on how to invest and allocate your time ACCORDING to GOD.
