Did you know the average person makes over 35,000 decisions consciously and subconsciously every day? With so many choices to be made, the power of pre-decision could be beneficial to you.

You may be asking yourself right now what exactly is a “pre-decision,” a pre-decision is a decision you have already made between different decisions even before a decision needs to be made.

It’s the question, do I go this way or do I go that way, do I say that or this, or act this way or that way. With pre-decision, you have already decided which way to go in your heart and mind, no matter the outcome.

Pre-decision takes place before the point of contemplation; this is where pre-decision is most effective before our minds are bombarded with options and choices and often temptations to make poor choices that can lead us down a path of destruction.

A decision such as do I eat that doughnut or that apple. Do I stay focused on what I’m working on here on the computer, or do I choose to wander to an inappropriate place on the internet? Do I decide to have a positive outlook or a negative one?

You can pre-decide joy over depression, peace over anxiety, humility over pride, and being strong when you feel like being weak and giving in.

When you pre-decide to make the right and Christ-centered choice, even before you are confronted with making any choice, you will choose the right choice every time. When you pre-decide, every decision will be made with precision to honor God; then, you will choose correctly every time.

A pre-decision is taking your stand while still sitting; it points your heart in the right direction on purpose ahead of time. The Bible says there are two paths always before us with every decision, a path that leads to life and a path that leads to death; therefore, let’s pre-decide and determine in our hearts to CHOOSE LIFE.

God wants us to walk on the path of life because it is the best decision and direction for our lives. So let us pre-decide ahead of time that we will walk with Him in all our choices and decisions.
