Becoming a Trustworthy Wife
We have been made to believe that infidelity and adultery are the only things that break trust. Those things are damaging, but so are inconsistency, false motives, and words with no actions.
Our “little” lies about how much we spent at the mall, the packages that we rush inside before our husbands get home, and the items we leave in the trunk of the car so that they won’t see them are also tools that create distrust.
If we want our husbands to open up to us, share their triumphs and challenges, and treat us as their closest friends, we must become more and more trustworthy. We must live openly and honestly even when it is uncomfortable.
We even have to be careful not to share their vulnerable moments with our friends and family but instead, treasure them and cover them.
We would do well to remember that God trusts us with our husbands. He trusts us to love them and treat them well.
Prayer:
Lord, I don’t ever want my husband to doubt me. I want to be his confidante, his friend, and his lover. Let him see that I am his number one supporter, that I believe in him, and want only the best for him. I want my words and actions to be in alignment so that he doesn’t question my integrity. I pray that His heart trusts in me. May he lack nothing because he is married to me, in Jesus’ name!

About this Plan
Changes in our marriages will only happen in proportion to changes in us. Yes, our husbands need to grow, but we can’t control their growth. We only have authority over our own. This devotional is designed to help us yield our hearts, and ultimately our actions and responses, to the life-changing power of God’s Word. As we do that, we will see changes in our marriages and our lives.
