EVERY DAY WITH CHRIST

As simple as it sounds, we can’t live the Christian life without Christ. But many people try to do just that every day. Here are three key things to remember that will help you take full advantage of the Holy Spirit that is inside of you through your relationship with Jesus:

You are strong. Even when you don’t feel like it, Christ will give you the physical, emotional, and spiritual strength to fulfill God’s mission for your life.

“Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.” — Ephesians 6:10

You are bold. With Christ, you have the courage to overcome your fears and insecurities, speak the truth, share your testimony, and serve others.

“This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9

You are ready. Christ equips you with every spiritual resource needed to withstand Satan’s attacks and forge ahead to complete the mission to which Christ has called you.

“Now may the God of peace—who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood—may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.” — Hebrews 13:20–21

As you dedicate yourself to prayer, Bible reading, Christian fellowship, and following the Holy Spirit every day, you will continue to experience the powerful truth found in our daily theme verse:

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.” — Ephesians 1:3

Q: What are some areas of your life you feel aren’t fully protected right now and might be vulnerable to Satan’s attacks?

Go back to Ephesians 6:13–17 and read through the pieces of God’s armor. With your Huddle, discuss some specific things in your life each piece might protect you. Then, make a plan for how you might put on each piece of armor and consistently wear it every day moving forward.
