Working Hard When Nobody is Watching
Most great professional athletes will tell you they invest countless hours practicing. There are many hours in the gym, the field, or the court - all when nobody is watching. Kurt Warner was no different in his pursuit of excellence in football. We see this discipline and hard work when he played in the Arena Football League.
There is a scene in the film when the Rams approach Kurt after an Arena Football game. He had to ask who they were. This illustrates that Kurt was living out the teachings of Jesus in his attitude towards work. The watchful eye of the Ram's staff came as a surprise to him. It is part of what makes his story so fun. The apostle Paul understood this important principle. In the book of Colossians, Paul said we should do our work as if we were doing it for Jesus. Our "audience of one" is Jesus.
Application Questions:
- What would it look like if your boss showed up unexpectedly during your work hours?
- Do you have an attitude towards work that would cause Jesus to smile and say, "Well done"?

About this Plan
The Bible contains many stories of people God uses in incredible ways. The path is often not easy. Life's low points are preparation for something much more significant. The story of NFL football great Kurt Warner has a similar theme. It is a modern-day story of someone who believed and trusted God amid shattered dreams. This plan ties Biblical concepts into useful, practical applications.
