[From Heaven to the Hay in the Heart] Part 3Sample
This Christmas, The King Of Kings May Knock At Your Door
Max Lucado, in his book Because of Bethlehem, writes about a conversation between two angels. One angel asks the other why their supreme and glorious Prince had to descend to such an unworthy and insignificant place and why He had to become as one of those small creatures. The second angel replied that the Prince went down to visit human beings to elevate them so that they could be just like Him.
Max Lucado tells it this way: “In reality, Jesus becoming [human] is explained in very few words: God loves us, and the story of Christmas is a story of the very obstinate love of God for us.”
If God was willing to wrap Himself in swaddling clothes and silently suffer excruciating pain, then any questions we might have regarding His love are out of the question. Only one who is willing to pay the price for a crime you committed can say that he absolutely loves you.
If God was willing to be born in a very humble manger, then there is no place He wouldn´t go for you: bars, prisons, motel rooms, joints, etc. No place is too low or too far for Him.
The Christmas story is an incomprehensible declaration: God became one of us so that we can become like Him and be one with Him. Our God not only wanted to grant us His very nature, so that we can have fellowship with Him, but He also wanted us to be one with Him.
Therefore, if you haven´t done it yet, invite Jesus Christ into your heart. Give Him the seat of honor in your home. Give Him your highest praise. Set the table for Him, cook your best meal, and offer Him the best wine you can find. Revelation 3:20 tells us that Jesus is standing at our door. He is knocking because He wants to come in and dine with us. Right before He knocks, He calls for our repentance. He will come to dine with us as soon as we repent and acknowledge our wretchedness, blindness, and nakedness. (Revelation 3:17)
Jesus is knocking at your door. This Christmas, He will knock your door again, because He longs to be your most desired guest that night. Prepare your house and your dinner to host the King of Kings. Tell your other guests to prepare themselves with sacrifices of praise, so they can come to your house and dine with Him.

About this Plan
The Messiah´s coming is all about worship and praise. Heaven had a plan to bring the Savior to us. Heaven still has a plan today: it is to have the Savior be born in your heart. Christmas is not going to make any difference in a person´s life until it becomes a very personal and spiritual experience.
