Integral D-Tox, Prepared for Him

DAY 2 OF 5

Technological D-tox

We live in a very fast-paced, hyper-connected generation, with little patience to wait. We always want everything now, fast, but everything good requires its process. Today, we suffer evils that were so evident at no stage of humanity, such as panic attacks, stress, anxiety, bipolarity, various types of phobias, and others.

In this generation, something called "nomophobia" came about: the fear of not being connected, specifically to the internet. Nomophobia comes from the English word "no mobile," in other words, no cell phone. Many people get desperate if they don't have their cell phone or if they're not online. Today, teenagers cannot understand how we lived so many years without a cell phone, computers, or the internet. Technology is an extraordinary advancement. We are in an excellent stage to fill the land with knowledge of His glory. The gospel of the kingdom can reach and connect to the whole world in a more practical, direct, and rapid way through the internet, but we have to know how to use it for good things and not let this great resource use us and become enslaved, entertained and intoxicated by it.

How do I recognize if technology is being toxic in my life? Some of the symptoms

• Not being able to be without your cell phone nearby

• Compulsively checking notifications all the time

• Keeping an eye on likes or followers

• Distract you from conversations with people you are spending time with to chat with people online.

• Spending a lot of time in games, watching movies and series or just not being able to disconnect

• And others that the Father may show you

External hyper connection disconnects us internally, it does not allow us to concentrate, but when we turn off all our technological devices and access the "broadband" of the sky, everything settles, CHRIST TRANSFORMS. There is a war for our attention so we get distracted; to distract, etymologically, means to attract two different sides, that is, a mental pull between two thoughts. That is why we proposed SELAH, the time of silence and stillness so your mind can once again be attracted by the one who deserves our maximum attention.

King Saul had his mind divided between keeping his own appearance and the voice of God, and his appearance distracted him from the voice of God, and He rebuked him through Samuel. James warns us to take care of having a divided mind (spirit, soul, psyche)

SELAH: disconnect from everything that is not essential, log out of your social media for a while. When you get ready to pray and read the Word of the Lord, do it without technological devices that may distract you. If possible, do a "technology fast" to regain control over it.

Day 1Day 3

About this Plan

Integral D-Tox, Prepared for Him

We long for the Second Coming of Christ! The Scriptures tell us about the Church as a bride expecting the arrival of her Bridegroom, focused on His coming. A bride prepares for the great day of her wedding. In this plan, we will see how to prepare to be the delight of the Beloved, taking time to decontaminate and detoxify ourselves from what takes us away from Him.
