Being connected to God can feel like a confusing thing to say. I mean, I’m not tied to God. I can’t even see God! So what does it mean to be connected to God? God promises to be with us, and since God is with us in everything we do, we can connect with God. When you connect to God, He promises to strengthen you and help you get through hard times in life—like those times when you get a bad grade on a significant test, or when you are in a fight with a friend at school, or when you lose someone you love. I remember when I was going through a rough time with friends, and I felt alone. I forgot I had God, and He hadn’t left me. In times like these, you can know God is close, and you can feel connected to Him. Not only that but like this verse says, God promises we are held in the hands of a God who doesn’t fail. How amazing is that?! No matter what’s happening, God will always be there to hold you up. 

The next time you feel alone or discouraged, remember you can always connect with God no matter what’s going on. To help you remember this, try to memorize this verse this week.
