Thoughts and PrayersSample
Have you ever been embarrassed to pray? Maybe you didn’t know what to say to God, or you thought you weren’t good enough to pray. You can always pray to God no matter who you are or how close you are to Him. It doesn’t matter where you are either. You could be in the middle of the Walmart parking lot praying. You don’t even have to close your eyes. You can simply talk to God. You might not think praying is doing anything or God isn’t listening, but that is the opposite of the truth. God is always there and is always listening to you. The answer to your prayers just might not come when you want it to, but God is with you.
After talking to God, I have found that I feel closer to Him and begin to see more of how He is working in my life. Praying will bring you closer to God, even if it doesn’t happen immediately. As Paul says in this verse, in all that you do, never stop praying. Whether in times of stress and anger or even when you are the happiest you have ever been, God wants to connect with you through prayer.
This week, try making an intentional effort to spend more time talking to God. You may be surprised how it makes your week better.
