Moments for Mums: Nourishment - Part 1Sample

When a branch is connected to the trunk of the plant, it receives nourishment, and all it needs for life and bearing of fruit. Cut the branch off and it will almost certainly wither, dry up, and die.
When we are not connected with what bring us life, we too can wither. God says that if we want to be fruitful in life, we must be connected with him – the bringer and sustainer of life. How do we do this? By regularly reading God’s word, the Bible, and talking with him by prayer.
Just like talking regularly with a friend, through reading the Bible and prayer you get to know God better. You get to understand his ways, and purpose for your life more fully.
Question
Do you currently feel nourished or withered in this stage of life?
Prayer
God help me to know you better and rely on you to feel nourished and flourish in my life.
Scripture
