On the whole, we are busy people. We’ve got things to do, people to see, places to be and depending on the culture in which you find yourself, we don’t have much time for interruption. Yet, the Lord wants to interrupt our plans to do the good works He has prepared for us to do. How do we respond? I admit that I’m not always ready or willing to be interrupted. I either pass by not seeing the opportunity he’s put in front of me, or I deliberately choose to ignore it because I have too many other “important” things to do.
Our passage today is the beginning of a story in the book of Acts where two disciples are interrupted in their daily activities, and it leads to miracles and powerful testimonies. As you read, think about a time when the Lord interrupted your plans because He had something better for you to do. What was your reaction, and what did He teach you through that situation?

About this Plan

What happens when God’s people pray? How ready are you to stop what you are doing and minister to someone in need? Or to justify the way you live to others? How about when situations are difficult? How do we respond? In this study, we’ll dive into a story in Acts to see how God worked in an unexpected situation and how it applies to us today.
