Attitude of Gratitude - 7 Truths About Being Thankful

DAY 6 OF 7

Grateful for Worship

Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!   Psalm 95:2

Who doesn’t love to worship? Especially when the band is awesome, and the lighting and fog machine are on point. Wait, that’s not what we’re talking about? Okay, singing God’s praises is a beautiful way to show gratitude for worship. Whether it’s song or silence, God loves your worship because it’s an opportunity to show Him your gratitude toward His gifts of love, mercy, and endless blessings.

God doesn’t need your worship to feed his ego. He loves it because it illustrates the condition of your heart. Showing gratitude in worship begins once you’ve experienced the nature and character of God. Thanks to a character of love, God’s nature is easy to worship. Worship teaches you to surrender yourself and elevate God above yourself. It also reinforces the importance of acknowledging God as being worthy of your worship.

Being grateful in worship extends as a response to having been in connection with God. Worship is not merely singing but a manifestation of the love you have because of the love you have experienced from God. It’s an organic appreciation for His loved-you-first gift of the Father that includes song and praise as well as any response you understand as a proper expression of gratitude.

God loves your worship and once you activate the atmosphere with praise, God’s presence relishes the effort. You don’t have to wait for a church service or a hallelujah choir to start worshipping God. Some of the most beautiful times of showing gratitude through worship are those moments when the hymn pours from deep within your soul whether you recall the lyrics or the melody. Show God your gratitude always through worship, and you’ll be blessed beyond measure.

Showing Gratitude:

The perfect way to show gratitude for God’s love is to worship Him through songs and hymns. Take time to learn a favorite hymn and meditate on the lyrics as well as sing the song throughout your day.
