Exploring Thriving Through EphesiansSample
Paul is still standing in amazement at the mystery of God that has been revealed. The Jews and the Gentiles standing together- an amazing mystery. Inheriting together the riches of God. Becoming one body together. Sharing all of the promises together.
And he, Paul, gets to be the one to share this great news. That is one of his (Paul's) 'good works' that was planned for him to do. He is no different than each of us. God's grace reached out. God's kindness was extended to Paul and the gift was received.
He wants us to understand that we can approach God freely. We are welcome. We are received. We can confidently stroll up to the throne and speak to our heavenly Father.
Once we were separated from God because of our disobedience and rebellion. But God closed the gap through the death of Jesus.
Once we were estranged from God's family. But God adopted us as His sons and daughters.
Once we were deserving of His wrath. But God, through His love, grace, and mercy, offered us the gift of forgiveness.
Son of God, daughter of God, what do you want to boldly ask your Father for today?
Where do you feel a lack of confidence and freedom in approaching God?
