Through the Bible: EcclesiastesSample
The Good, the Bad and the Evil
Fear God and keep His mitzvot (commandments)! For this applies to all mankind. God will bring every deed into judgment, including everything that is hidden, whether it is good or evil.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (TLV)
In his search for meaning and truth, Solomon concludes here the secret of life, that the only solution to any problem we have is in God – to fear God in holy reverence, and to keep His commandments wholeheartedly.
Everything we do, whether good, bad or evil will be evaluated and judged by God. This applies to everyone; no one escapes death. All mankind will stand before the Judgement Seat of Christ. God sees our deeds, including every secret thing, and weighs the motives (Proverbs 16:2).
Let us look to Christ for a spiritual checkup, trusting the Holy Spirit to guide us in all we think, say and do, to live life as a pilgrimage preparing for eternity, ready to give an account to our eternal God.
Prayer
Dear Abba Father, our days on earth are about You. Forgive our futile self-striving ways of life. You are our eternal hope of glory. Be enthroned, be first in our hearts. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
About this Plan
People often search for the meaning of life from wealth, relationships, careers, charity, religion, etc. However, the reality is that there will always be a void in the human soul unless we are reconnected with our Creator. The author of the book of Ecclesiastes concludes that a life without God is just vanity, for God is where we find the true meaning of our existence.
