CounterfeitSample

Prayer is a habit that moves our faith from an “only on Sundays” faith to an everyday faith. Jesus took time on a regular basis to pray. That may seem impossible, but prayer isn’t as complicated as we make it out to be. You can pray by thanking God for the nature you see, asking God to be with a friend who is going through a hard time, or just listening to a worship song.
This week, think of one way to make prayer a daily habit. Set an alarm on your phone to remind you to pray, or text one friend everyday asking what you can pray for them about. Try talking to your Small Group Leader or other adult about ways they made prayer a daily habit.

About this Plan

We know that anything of value probably has a counterfeit version out there. The same is true for our faith. Maybe copying the behaviors of other believers was a great place to start your faith journey, but how can we move beyond copying Christians to following Jesus? How do we make our faith our own? The difference between a counterfeit faith and an authentic faith is growth and heart change.
