Gentleness: The Fruit of the Spirit a 7-Day Bible-Reading Plan by Kenneth Copeland Ministries

DAY 5 OF 7

The Benefits of Gentleness

Aside from making a way for God to fight your battles, there are even more benefits to gentleness.

The Bible says when you have a gentle spirit about you, everything will go right for you (see today’s reading). Things will work for you, and you won’t lack anything. That’s a great way to live!

Gentleness allows God to guide you and teach you because you’ll listen to Him. You’ll submit to what He says, instead of trying to tell Him you have a better way.

God would teach every person on earth how to prosper if they’d just be meek enough to allow Him to do it! But if people won’t listen to Him and be teachable and submissive, then God can’t get them the answers they need.

When people think they know it all, they tend to not listen to the Lord. They have their religious traditions, and they’re sticking to them! It didn’t work out so well for the so-called experts in Jesus’ day. They were too proud to listen to Him and wanted to argue instead. The ones who were of a gentle spirit were hungry to hear from Him, and they walked away blessed and healed!

That’s the way we want to be. We don’t want to be like the so-called experts. We want to be humble before God. We want to be teachable and ready to receive and agree with His Word, so God can give us His wisdom and all the blessings that come with it.
