The Other Five Prayer JourneySample
DAY FOUR
Mark 7:37: "He even makes the deaf hear"
For the first time ever in the history of the Assemblies of God in Mexico, pastors, teachers, evangelists, students, and church lay people are waking up to the need to reach deaf people with the gospel message all over Mexico. From a small village near the Guatemala border to the northern border town of Piedras Negras, excitement and a spiritual burden are spreading in the hearts of Mexican national leaders.
Our Mexican coworkers and teammates developed a strategy for visually telling the deaf people in the city of Matamoros about their newfound love for them and for telling them about the love God has for them. Volunteers go out to the city square and the shopping areas and pass out flyers, inviting them to events specially designed for them, using Mexican Sign Language. Large banners are placed on the highway overpasses announcing the events with pictures of Mexican Sign Language on the banners. Team members perform a drama in sign language describing how Jesus loves them and wants to change their lives.
Deaf people are being given priority and importance never seen or experienced before. While passing out flyers and telling people about these special events, the local citizens thanked us for our concern and willingness to help their deaf people encounter Jesus. Their words of thanks and appreciation truly touched our hearts.
Please pray God will provide a harvest of souls trapped in deaf bodies, needing healing and understanding about the Savior who came to love them and lead them into the Kingdom of heaven.

Prayer: We ask you Lord to open the spiritual "ears" of those who cannot physically hear the Gospel. Let them know the Living Word as they see and read the words of life that are boldly proclaimed by those who have been sent especially to them, that they might have life and have it in abundance. Amen.

About this Plan
The Other Five are the 5 out of 6 people in Latin America Caribbean that are not yet disciples of Jesus. The soul care decisions regarding them should be guided by the Lord of the Harvest, the One that truly cares most for every soul. The One that cares most should be foremost in determining where the focus should be directed as we PRAY, GO, AND GIVE.
