Sometimes life can feel . . . just . . . ugh! Sometimes there aren't words to express the things that are stressing or overwhelming us. Maybe you've been there, or maybe you have a friend or loved one who's there right now. It's easy to feel consumed with all the things that aren't going well. We focus on our worries, difficulties, hurts, and frustrations. When life gets really hard, we sometimes wish we could just run away, or start fresh, or have a new life entirely.
God doesn't promise to solve all of those problems for us or take away all of our pain. But that doesn't have to disappoint or frustrate us. In those moments, God is often hoping we'll see that it's not our situations that need to change but our perspective. When we can focus our attention on the hope we have in Jesus, everything else fades in comparison.
How does Jesus give us hope? How can you share that hope today?

About this Plan
Friendship might feel easy when life is easy, but it gets more complicated when your friends are hurting or struggling. What should you do? What should you say? What should you not say? When our friends need help, there are no easy answers, but in this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll see what Scripture invites us to do when others are grieving, lonely, in need, or feeling hopeless.
