Walk Through The Bible 365 - JuneSample
Stay Calm And Carry On
In 2 Corinthians 2:5 we are told to "Examine yourselves, whether ye be of faith; prove your own selves." It would seem that the writer of this Psalm has done this. Not proud, not haughty, and not too concerned with the mysterious things of life. What the writer has done, though, is to make himself content. We read that to be this way is to quiet ourselves and to be calm. Some people will try Yoga and Meditation to do this, but it is not what our spiritual lives need. We need His Spirit and His Word working in our lives to transform us into His image.
Prayer: I am Yours, Lord. Search my heart and remove pride and haughtiness. My heart's desire is to know You and love You with my whole heart. Teach me to be calm and content so that You will be glorified in me. You know my thoughts and innermost being. Create in me a new heart full of love and passion for You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
