Crisis ConvertedSample
Theme: Salvation
Crisis Converted Then:
God’s servant will bring justice to the whole world. He will set the world right again with his power. The entire world groans for fairness and peace, even the far away places (islands once more!). Though creation itself will wear out at the end of time, God invites his people to look upon the heavens and earth and remember the very beginning of creation. From first to last, God’s saving acts will never dissipate. What he has done will never be undone.
Crisis Converted Now:
From the beginning of time, the Word was life and brought life to all people. At the end of time, the Word will endure and his work will never fade. Jesus is the Alpha and Omega. We merely have to look at this creation to see his handiwork and be reminded that though the flowers fade and the grass withers, what Jesus is doing in and through us will never fade away.

About this Plan
This study from Isaiah 40-55 explores our identity as people affected by trauma but living in hope. In the exile, God’s nation had to find new life when their old life had been completely overturned and destroyed. Similarly, we now find ourselves trying to “return to normal” in the aftermath of a global pandemic. Yet, God can take any crisis and convert it for his glory and our growth.
