Draw NearSample
It’s not uncommon to draw near to God when we have been sinned against or deceived. Often, we acknowledge our own innocence before our own sin. We tend to see others as the unfaithful, deceitful, and unjust people. But drawing near to God is knowing that the person who wronged you is just as valued and treasured and near to God’s heart as you are.
Reflect on the ways you’ve decided that your proximity to God must come at the expense of others, then pray that the Lord will soften your heart to draw near to him at all times and not just when you’ve been wronged.

About this Plan
Through a 5-day journey to draw nearer to God’s heart, the CSB invites you to reflect on the thoughts and emotions that keep you from drawing near to God’s heart, looking at the psalmist’s struggle with the same barriers. And ultimately, we hope you can rely on the promise that when you draw near to God, he draws near to you.
