Life Of Integrity

DAY 20 OF 30

"Noah's Righteousness"

The world seems to be in perpetual chaos. It appears that violence and corruption are more common, while peace and love are in short supply. Noah lived in a time very much like our own. There was growing godlessness and corruption. However, God had a plan to redeem and rescue. He’d use unlikely people and an unlikely situation to continue his plan of rescue. Just as easy as it is for us to get drawn into a sinful lifestyle, Noah was exposed in the same way; yet he did not get caught up in the behaviors of the day. Noah found grace in the sight of God.

Though we live in a world of corruption, we can make it our passion to live a righteous life in a world that demands that we conform to its standard. If we’re constantly trying to be accepted by the world, we cannot be pleasing to God. After all, to be in love with the standards of the world is opposition to God. Noah, a man with a fallen nature like ours, lived in a world of corruption. Yet, he did not conform, and God used him because his ways were pleasing to the Lord.

If you feel the pull of your flesh being enticed to do wrong, it’s time to acknowledge God through prayer, fasting and meditation on His word. Make every effort not to yield to temptation by giving into its demand. To acknowledge God is asking for His help; not to acknowledge God is to fall into the devil’s demand.

We should make every effort to take a stance on the Word of God and to apply what we read from His Word to our lives…that we aren’t just hearers of the Word, but doers! Pray for God to give you a passion for righteousness and purity.

About this Plan

Life Of Integrity

Character and integrity are qualities that we most want in our bosses, leaders and spouses. However, are we cultivating character and integrity in our own lives? These are hard fought for qualities and ones that come through much pain and humility. Fortunately, God’s word provides us with wonderful accounts of what integrity looks like and what it doesn’t’ look like. We can look at these wonderful examples to help guide us towards Godly character. Allow these 30 devotionals to sharpen and inspire you towards Godly character and integrity.
