Love That Leads to Victory

DAY 2 OF 5

“Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” - 1 Corinthians 13:7 ESV

Love Bears All Things

Loving people is one of the toughest things you can do. Many times, it goes against all-natural reasoning and understanding. This is the way God loves us. If we were honest with ourselves about some of the things we have done, we would have given up on ourselves a long time ago.

Many times, in relationships with other people, we give up the first time we get offended. If you do this, you will not have any sort of relationship with others because we all make mistakes. Some of the relationships that are the closest are the ones in which you must bear the most. This is especially true in marriage.

Marriage is where we need to bear it all. The enemy fights marriages relentlessly because He knows the power behind them. Love does whatever it needs to do to show God’s love to other people.

THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO CASES WHERE ABUSE IS PRESENT. NO FATHER IS OK WITH THEIR CHILD GOING HOME TO GET ABUSED. IF THIS IS YOU, YOU NEED TO MAKE A CHANGE NOW!

You’ve Been Hurt, But You Have Hurt Others, Too

I think all of you have heard the statement, “I shouldn’t have to deal with this.” You have either heard it, said it, or both. Anytime we have been wronged, you are absolutely correct. You should not. However, sometimes we forget we have wronged others, too.

Just because you have been wronged by someone doesn’t mean you have a pass on walking in love with them. What would have happened if someone stopped talking to you every time you offended someone? Nobody would be talking to you, because at some point we have offended all of them. Love remembers that others have put up with my mistakes, and I need to extend grace to other people.

Confession Today

“Today, I will walk in love. I will bear whatever situation may come my way. I will walk in the God kind of love that extends grace whenever I have been hurt. This doesn’t mean I am weak. I will make adjustments, when necessary, but I will always walk in love with other people.”

About this Plan

Love That Leads to Victory

Since God is love, you need to know what love is. Love is the most powerful force that exists, and you need to know how God describes it. Over the next 5 days, you will learn how God describes love. Love NEVER fails. God NEVER fails. Devon D. Daniel Executive Pastor at Believer's Victory Church
