As much as we hate it, things change all the time. Everything changes, from small things like the weather to grades in school. Oftentimes we don’t worry about these changes. They can be frustrating at times, but they are things that will continue to change for better or worse. Other changes in our lives may include a loss of a family member or changes in friends. These changes can be harder to accept, but all these changes have one thing in common: God is with us in the middle of it. In the Bible, we are assured that God never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. There are days when our world feels like it is spinning and there is no way to stop it. It’s like riding on a carousel or Merry-Go-Round. The horses on the outside are continuously spinning from the beginning of the ride to the end, but when you look at the middle of the ride, it remains still. While everything around it continues to spin, it remains stable.
When we look to God, He is the only thing in our lives that remains unchanging.

About this Plan
Life is full of change. Whether it be good like making the team, bad like parent’s divorce, or complicated like switching schools. Change can make us ask “Am I strong enough to face this?” or “Why do I have to go through this?” These devotionals will challenge you to rethink how you view change, and we’ll explore how God’s commitment to us doesn’t change, even if everything else does.
